BTCC reports record $387bn futures quarter as TradFi volume rises sixfold

BTCC released its third-quarter 2026 Growth Report on 25 October, announcing record total futures trading volume of $387 billion. The release was issued from George Town in the Cayman Islands.

The cryptocurrency exchange placed its flagship “0-Barrier Trading” theme at the centre of the report, linking it to the quarter’s futures activity, growth in traditional finance trading and savings for traders.

Total futures volume was the headline measure for the three-month reporting period. Alongside the $387 billion quarterly figure, BTCC highlighted a peak of $16.7 billion. The supplied figures did not identify the period covered by that peak.

Traditional finance, referred to as TradFi in the report, accounted for another growth measure. BTCC reported volume of $16.3 billion in that segment, describing the increase as sixfold. The comparison period for that rise was not specified in the supplied information.

The exchange also reported $121 million in savings for traders. That figure was presented alongside trading volumes as one of the results associated with the 0-Barrier Trading theme, rather than as a measure of exchange revenue.

BTCC, described in the announcement as the world’s longest-serving cryptocurrency exchange, framed the release around those three results: record futures turnover, increased TradFi activity and trader savings.

The disclosed figures cover the third quarter of 2026. The announcement’s principal volume figures were $387 billion for total futures trading and $16.3 billion for TradFi, with the separately highlighted $16.7 billion peak accompanying the futures results.
